Hi, I am Anjalie Gilby. It's an honor to be your teacher for 6th Accelerated Mathematics as we take on an exciting year of learning about the power of mathematics in action around our world. Here is a little bit about me ...
Anjalie Gilby
I grew up with learning by discovery as a part of daily life as I followed my father's work in exploration geology on countless field trips and assignments around the world.
After graduating from Texas A&M University, I worked as an information systems analyst specializing in statistical analysis and research in a wide range of businesses from banking to airline transportation to industrial construction to global food services. My time at Dr. Pepper was my favorite.
For the past 24 years, I have lived in GCISD and joined as an educator 15 years ago. I've taught mathematics at a variety of levels including 4th, 5th and 7th grade STEM.
I hold certifications as a Generalist EC-8 and ESL as a Second Language along with credentials for the specialized instructional needs of both STEM and Gifted and Talented students.
Texas is my favorite state, but I travel frequently out west enjoying hiking and primitive camping in the red rock canyons of Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico.
