Teacher Bio

My teaching career began 28 years ago. My how time does fly!  I was hired just after completing my internship and graduating from the University of North Texas with a BFA in Art Education. I taught in the H.E.B. school district for ten years until I resigned in order to stay home with my children. A few years later, I was ready to get back into the classroom and was subsequently hired to teach in G.C.I.S.D. This is my seventeenth year in this district, and my third year to be full time at one school- Glenhope. YAY!

I am married to a wonderful husband who I am proud to say is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. Together we have two children, both products of Glenhope. Jordan is now a graduate student at Southwestern College in Santa Fe, pursuing a dual Master's degree in Counseling and Art Therapy. Cooper is a junior at The University of Texas at Austin in The McCombs School of Business pursuing his Master's in accounting. I am very proud of both my children.

It is a joy to spend time with your children watching them learn and create and grow. We have so many creative children here at Glenhope, and I am excited to share their artwork through Artsonia. This is a great way for kids to keep a digital portfolio of their work even after they leave elementary school.
