Hello My Name Is...

Mrs. Virginia McCauley
Music Teacher

Grapevine Colleyville ISD Glenhope Elementary Music Teacher

I am Virginia McCauley. I grew up in the east Texas town of Palestine and graduated from Palestine High School.  I attended Texas Christian

University - GO FROGS!! - and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. My certifications include Kindergarten through 12th grade music and elementary education first grade through eighth grades. I taught school for 22 years in the traditional elementary classroom and I am currently in my ninth year of teaching music at Glenhope.

I have been married to
my husband for 36 years. We have two amazing children.  Our daughter, age 24, is a graduate of TCU and lives in Washington, D.C. Our son, age 16,  is in the 11th grade at GHS and participates in the GHS Mustang Band as a percussionist.

As a family, we enjoy music, traveling,
attending Celtic festivals and concerts and cheering for the TCU Horned Frogs. We were foster/adoptive parents with the Texas Family Protective Services for two years and were greatly impacted by our experiences. Our son was our fourth and final foster child whom we were able to adopt after having him for 13 months from birth.

Something my students will discover quickly about me is that I am a fanatic about red, white and blue. I love American flags and Texas flags and I am very patriotic. I am thrilled to be the Music teacher at

Glenhope Elementary. Elementary music is a special place for students to learn singing, instrument playing and movement. My hope is that they will leave my classroom with great self-esteem, a love of music and learning and a deep appreciation and love for our wonderful country.
