Hello, My Name Is...

Mrs. Angela Harris

Grapevine Colleyville ISD Glenhope Elementary Mrs. Angela Harris

When I was in the first grade I decided that I wanted to be a teacher. After graduating from UTA with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, I got my first job as a sixth-grade teacher in Duncanville ISD. Then, my husband and I moved to Bryan/College Station, where I taught second grade while he finished his degree at Texas A&M. WHOOP! As soon as he graduated, we both received teaching assignments in the greatest school district on earth, Grapevine Colleyville Independent School District. I taught first grade at OC Taylor Elementary until I decided to take a few years off to be at home with our children. In 2012 I returned to GCISD teaching first grade at Dove. This is my fourth year as a GT specialist at Glenhope.

Meeting the unique needs of gifted and talented students is one of my passions. I believe it is my duty as an educator to advocate for the needs of gifted students. GCISD provides unparalleled gifted services in order to help gifted learners achieve their potential.  I am proud to be part of the GCISD Advanced Academics team at  Glenhope Elementary School. Go Gators!

My husband and I have been married for 23 years. He is a fantastic science teacher in Keller ISD. We have been blessed with 3 awesome kids. Our oldest daughter will be a freshman at UTA this year. Go MAVS! Our son will be in tenth grade at Collegiate Academy, and our youngest daughter will be in seventh grade at CTMS. We have 2 dogs, a spoiled Boston Terrier, and a very large Doberman puppy named Ozzy. In our free time, we like to travel, jog, paddleboard, and read lots of books. We are proud to be a part of this special community.
