ASPIRE Academy

Advancing Scholars in the Pursuit of Innovation, Real world connections, and Excellence in education.

Glenhope is pleased to house the ASPIRE Academy for the Highly Gifted. The ASPIRE Academy curriculum aligns with NAGC standards while incorporating units from the College of William and Mary, Texas Performance Standards, PBL, Junior Great Books, Creative Problem Solving, Depth and Complexity, Young Mathematicians at Work as well as units and lessons from the ASPIRE GT Pull Out curriculum. All of the ASPIRE Academy classrooms are digital classrooms with iPads or Macbook Air laptops for student use at school.

ASPIRE Academy students also learn the importance of goal setting, using data to track accomplishments and help set new goals. Scholars also learn characteristics that are typical in highly gifted learners, and learn how to capitalize on those strengths or overcome challenges that may come with their unique learning needs.

In May - June 2013 student applicants who were identified as gifted and had an aptitude of 140+, were interviewed, and selected by committee to become a part of our ASPIRE Academy for the Highly Gifted. This year the academy has over 200 students in grades 1-8.
