I have had the good fortune to be principal at Glenhope Elementary since August of 2000. I previously served as the assistant principal at Dove Elementary and taught at Grapevine and Bear Creek Elementary Schools. I taught for a year in DISD prior to coming to GCISD.

Although I graduated with a degree in education and taught for a couple of years right after I graduated, I had another career before returning to the classroom. For about 9 years I worked for a mortgage banking firm.

I have been married to my husband, Jim, for 39 years and we have one daughter, Liz, who is 37 and is a teacher in Birdville ISD. Last year, Liz adopted two boys, so we became grandparents to James and Zane. Jim is the mayor in Bedford, and we are both active at Woodland Heights Baptist Church. In 2006, I completed my doctorate in educational administration and curriculum.

I enjoy lots of things about being the principal at Glenhope, but my favorite part is getting to know the boys and girls who attend school here. It's a great joy to watch them grow and mature from year to year, and to feel that working together with families we contribute to their future success.

This year we are excited about our continuing implementation of LEAD 2021, the work on LEAD 2.0  and the possibilities that we see for educating our scholars for their futures. We look forward to sharing ideas,  new ways of doing things with you, and getting to know you and your family through the year.
