Hi, my name is Liz Giblin and I am the school nurse at Glenhope Elementary. I graduated in 2002 from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my 2 mini aussies, hanging with my teen daughter, and working out. Prior to becoming a school nurse, I worked at Cook Children's Medical Center for 16 years in the Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant department. This will be my 6th year at Glenhope as the school nurse. I truly love caring for your kiddos at school!
"School nursing, a specialized practice of nursing, protects and promotes student health, facilitates optimal development, and advances academic success. School nurses, grounded in ethical and evidence-based practice, are the leaders who bridge health care and education, provide care coordination, advocate for quality student-centered care, and collaborate to design systems that allow individuals and communities to develop their full potential."
