2nd Grade ASPIRE Academy Teacher
Hello, Gators! This is my 8th year as an educator and my first year as a Glenhope Gator! I am thrilled to be joining Mrs. Patton in our 2nd grade ASPIRE Academy. As a graduate of GCISD's Gifted and Talented program, I am so excited to return to my roots and give back to our wonderful educational community. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Texas with my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-6, and received my additional English as a Second Language and Gifted and Talented certifications. I loved teaching 3rd grade for 7 years in Northwest ISD, where I was a curriculum writer, team leader, graduate of NISD's leadership academies, and 2015 Elementary District Teacher of the Year. For the past 4 years I have stayed home with my 2 young children, time that I greatly cherished. I am so looking forward to returning to my passion of teaching! In my free time I love going on adventures with my kiddos, reading, gardening, music, and shopping alone at Target with a Starbucks in hand! It will be such a joy to get to know all of my students and their families this year.
