After Science night, make your way to the Dove cafeteria for the General Meeting!

Attendance Make Up Sessions
The Attendance For Class Credit (Texas Education Code Section §25.092) rule states that a student in any grade level from kindergarten through grade 12 may not be given credit or a final grade for a class unless the student is in attendance for at least 90 percent of the days the class is offered. This means having no more than 17 total absences. A student who is not in attendance for 90 percent of the days a class is offered may be given credit or a final grade for the class, if the student completes a plan approved by the school's principal.
We are offering two after school sessions on April 10th and May 1st from 3-4:15pm to allow students to make up lost instructional time. A parent must be in attendance for the child to stay.
If you have specific questions regarding the number of absences, notes, etc., please reach out to Ms. Newell in our front office. All other questions can be directed to Mrs. Diehl.

The GCISD Walk of Honor is accepting nominations for individuals who have become an important part of the GCISD story. These nominees should be those who have brought distinction, honor and excellence to the district. Do you have someone in mind who fits this description? Nominate them by May 1: https://gcisdwalkofhonor.com/nominate/

These are the remaining items still left in the lost and found! Please look and see if anything looks familiar! Any items that had names in them, were returned to those students. Anything left will be donated on Friday!

WE ARE FEELING DUCKY IN APRIL!!!
Ducks are calm, cool, and collected on the surface, but paddling like crazy underneath the water! We know our students, staff, and families are doing the same!!
Every school day in April, we will draw a number during morning announcements, and the class with that number on the bottom of their duck will win a prize! Students must be present to win.
Thank you for paddling so hard and making sure your student is at school, ON TIME, and READY TO LEARN!!

Tuesday, April 2nd is Autism Awareness Day! Wear blue to show your support!
