World Wear Donation Incentive
It is that time of year when World Wear Project offers an incentive of $100 to each and every school that is able to collect 2,500 lbs. or more of shoes, clothing and other items we accept during the month of November in conjunction with American/Texas Recycles Month.
Dove Elementary is proud to partner with World Wear, and you can find the World Wear Bin behind Dove, next to the Dove Dads shed. So, clean out those closets, donate to the World Wear Bin in November, and help our school earn an additional $100!!
Dove Spirit Shop will be open THIS FRIDAY, November 17th during lunches!
The Book Fair will be held December 4th-8th in the Learning Commons! If you would prefer to shop online, just go to efairs.literati.com and search for Dove Elementary! You can also purchase gift cards for your child to shop cash free at the in person fair! There will be an opportunity for families to shop during Lunch with a Loved One on December 5th!
Dove PTA Movie Night is TONIGHT on the blacktop behind the school!!
Bring your lawn chair and blankets and come enjoy a movie under the stars!
This is a FREE family event for Dove families. All students must have a parent/ guardian with them at all times! We will not have staff on duty to monitor students.
Concessions will be available for purchase, and there are still opportunities to sign up and volunteer! We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you tonight!

We will be having a Thanksgiving food drive to benefit GRACE Food Pantry. Bring your canned and dry goods November 1st-16th. The grade level that brings the most goods will earn extra recess!

This morning, the fire alarm was going off at GCISD's Transportation Building as bus drivers were arriving. The fire department is on the scene and staff is currently waiting for the all clear. However, all bus routes across the district will be delayed this morning. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
GCISD’s Nutrition Services is pleased to announce that parents can now download the MySchoolBucks app to make online prepayments on their child’s school meal account and view transactions. There is a $2.75 processing fee for each transaction.

Our next principal highlight in honor of Principals Month is Mrs. Landrum from Dove Elementary School. Her favorite part of her job is seeing the amazing teachers in action and watching the students work to reach their goals! Help us thank Mrs. Landrum for all she does by dropping a comment. #WeAreGCISD
Reminder: Monday, October 9, is a student and teacher holiday. This includes all schools except Collegiate Academy. The District office will remain open, and we will welcome everyone back to school on Tuesday, October 10. Enjoy the three-day weekend.
The Book Character Parade will be held October 27th! Costumes must be school appropriate and represent a character from a book. Each student will need to have a copy of the book their character is in. There are so many options in the library! Please start planning now to make sure the book your student needs is available!
