Good news keeps spreading in GCISD... and across the nation!
On October 19, GCISD shared the story of Jaron Casillas and his classmates at Glenhope, who purchased him indoor and outdoor colorblind glasses after hearing that he had trouble seeing certain colors. Local news stations like WFAA Channel 8, NBC 5 DFW and CBS Texas helped spread the good news to the DFW Metroplex, and now it is being heard throughout the country.
On October 23, PEOPLE shared the story and on the morning of October 25, ABC World News Now and America This Morning, along with CBS Mornings aired a story about this “goodness in the world.” Additionally, Mix 102.9 saw the stories about this and interviewed GHES teacher Christina Hayes on air about the experience and the hearts of the students in her class.
